Every year, ISS Switzerland undergoes an assessment of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability practices by EcoVadis, one of the leading independent assessment platforms. This assessment is based on seven management indicators and 21 criteria covering the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

The results are presented in the form of a ranking and reflect how a company fulfills its economic, social, and environmental responsibilities and how it manages its relationships with employees, customers, and business partners. The assessment allows customers to evaluate the sustainability performance of companies and suppliers and to identify partners with a particularly responsible corporate strategy.

After ISS had already achieved Gold status from EcoVadis twice in a row, the company was able to further improve its CSR performance and earned Platinum certification for the first time in 2020. “ISS is committed to responsible business practices and successfully integrates social and environmental issues into its business operations.

This latest award is a great affirmation of our commitment to sustainability. It shows that we are successful together and that we act in a progressive, proactive, and effective manner when it comes to CSR,” explains Marc Amstutz, Head of the Excellence Center for Sustainability & Environment. “This year, we improved our overall s - an impressive result. Nevertheless, we are also aware of areas for improvement, which we will continue to address in a targeted and motivated manner,” says Marc Amstutz.
