Five apprentices have completed their apprenticeships with top marks. They’ll tell you themselves in a moment what their apprenticeship was like, what they enjoyed, and what their career plans are.

Florent Berisha
Business Administrator EFZ (5.3), currently works as an IT support specialist at ISS
“I’d always toyed with the idea of becoming a computer scientist, but then decided to pursue a business apprenticeship instead. That makes me all the more pleased that, after completing my apprenticeship, I’ve now had the opportunity to join ISS as an IT support specialist. Even during my apprenticeship, I got a taste of the IT world and learned a lot. The great support team reinforced my decision to get a foothold in the IT field.”

Manuel Koch
Drainage Technician EFZ (5.3), currently working as a skilled worker in renovation
“Robots fascinate me. That’s why I chose this apprenticeship and later specialized in renovation. Even during my apprenticeship, I traveled all over Switzerland and got to know villages I would never have visited otherwise. What I also like about my job is the teamwork and the fact that no two days are alike.”

Virginia Salzmann
Drainage Technician EFZ (5.4), currently works as a TV camera operator
“Completing this apprenticeship means a great deal to me. I’m proud to be the first certified drainage technician in Switzerland—and to have earned the highest grade in the practical component, no less. In the future, I’d like to share my passion for this profession by mentoring apprentices and continue to deepen my knowledge as a TV camera operator.”
Devin Stehli
Business Administrator EFZ (5.2), currently plays for the Nati B team on a professional contract with the EVZ ACADEMY
“I completed my sports apprenticeship at ISS. So I had to give it my all on two fronts: as a hockey player for the club and as an apprentice at ISS. Above all, this required self-discipline, focus, good time management, and independence. At school, I made the most of every minute to study. I felt very comfortable with my team at ISS, which helped me cope with the dual demands.”

Giulia Toletti
Business Administrator EFZ (5.1), currently pursuing her vocational baccalaureate
“COVID-19 pretty much turned the last half-year of my vocational apprenticeship upside down. Because of the lockdown, I had to work from home, just like everyone else. I received assignments and a lot of support from both the school and ISS. Staying organized at home wasn’t always easy. But I’m very happy that, despite the unusual circumstances, I’ve managed to earn a great diploma.”
Congratulations on Completing Your Apprenticeship
Despite a challenging final stretch due to COVID-19, 21 apprentices have successfully completed their vocational training at ISS. Eight business administrators, four building cleaners, six facilities management specialists, and two drainage technicians received their Federal Vocational Certificate (EFZ). One vocational practitioner received the Federal Vocational Certificate (EBA). We extend our heartfelt congratulations and are delighted that 14 of the graduates will continue their careers at ISS.
