Innovative Solution: Reducing Environmental Impact
We aim to continuously reduce or completely eliminate the environmental impact of our facility management services, which is why we have been striving for years to identify, test, and implement innovative solutions in the field of eco-friendly cleaning. As a responsible service provider, we are thus making an important contribution to our clients’ environmental goals. Based on the tests and experience gained over the past few years, ISS has launched two products, GreenClean and GreenClean Zero, which virtually eliminate the need for conventional cleaning chemicals and, as a side effect, offer additional environmental benefits:

GreenClean: 100% clean and sustainable
With GreenClean, ISS consistently uses cleaning products made from plant-based raw materials. The products are 100% biodegradable, reduce wastewater pollution, and feature recyclable packaging. They even avoid the use of artificial fragrances. ISS cleaning teams have been using this environmentally friendly cleaning method very successfully in over 1,000 buildings. Precisely because it is easy to use and gentle on surfaces, GreenClean can be used for buildings of all sizes, as well as on all materials and surfaces.
For large buildings with over 3,000 square meters of office space, however, GreenCleanZero is the top choice in terms of environmental friendliness. This method is based on a highly effective stabilized aqueous ozone solution (SAO) that contains no additional cleaning chemicals. Using a preparation unit, ISS employees can produce the water-based ozone solution immediately before cleaning. This eliminates the need for packaging and disposal, as well as transportation and other logistical expenses. Here, too, the addition of fragrances is completely avoided for environmental reasons. The results have been scientifically validated. Both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirm the effectiveness of this product.
