The “Talk to the Building – powered by ISS” project won in the “Digital Excellence Commercial” category, prevailing against strong competition. The awards ceremony took place on November 13 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich.

Buildings account for about 30 percent of global final energy consumption. Reliable data is therefore essential for identifying opportunities and developing effective measures. “Talk to the Building – powered by ISS” is the first AI-powered platform in facility management that connects millions of energy, weather, sensor, and other data sources in real time. The system enables precise benchmarking at the building and industry levels and accelerates data-driven decision-making in building operations. The platform is available around the clock and provides analyses tailored to the needs of both technical specialists and decision-makers.

Roger Gygli, Head of Digital Transformation at ISS Switzerland, adds:

“What used to be complex and time-consuming can now be accomplished in seconds: We ask a question - and receive answers from millions of data points. This transparency is changing how we understand buildings, identify areas for action, and make decisions. And it shows just how powerful innovation becomes when many bright minds work together.”

The AI platform, developed in collaboration with akenza, provides transparency into the technical condition of buildings and helps users identify areas for action, set priorities, and derive data-driven measures - for example, to increase energy efficiency, improve operations, or reduce costs. The solution detects anomalies such as increased energy consumption and, via an intelligent chatbot, immediately provides possible causes and opportunities for optimization. Additionally, corporate and external data can be integrated to create an even stronger data foundation.

André Nauer, CEO of ISS Switzerland, expressed his delight at winning the award for the first time:

“The Digital Economy Award is a major honor for ISS Switzerland. It demonstrates that innovation, customer focus, and sustainability are not just buzzwords for us, but a reality we live by every day.”

Winning the Digital Economy Award underscores ISS Switzerland’s leading role in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, and customer experience. The company is actively shaping the future of facility management - intelligent, connected, and sustainable.
