Hands-on learning at the FM Academy

Since 1992, the FM Academy has been an interactive and practice-oriented learning workshop for facility management. Expanded and developed by gammaRenax, it has formed the backbone of our in-house training programme since its integration into ISS Switzerland. It is specifically tailored to the high demands and quality standards of our services and supports both our staff and external participants in developing their professional skills in a targeted manner.

“Technologies in the construction industry are constantly evolving. Through targeted continuing education, employees not only stay abreast of these developments but also strengthen their ability to bring innovative solutions to building management.

Our training programs enhance skills, improve process efficiency, and help preserve the value of properties—which leads to cost savings and the sustainable use of resources. Continuing education in the field of facility management fosters employees’ personal development and boosts the company’s competitiveness.”
Karin Weber, Instructor for the Building Maintenance Technician Program: Leading to a Federal Certificate

“My motivation is to share knowledge and spark a genuine ‘aha’ moment in my students. It excites me every time I can pass on my own joy of learning to them and see them draw inspiration from it.

I find the many hands-on days and the FM Academy’s superbly equipped machine shop - where everything can be observed and tested in real time - particularly valuable. I also find the use of QR codes for short, supplementary videos on the topic to be very professional.”
Franceso Mehls, Instructor for the Building Maintenance Technician Program with a Federal Certificate of Competence
