ISS will be responsible for IFM at nine sites covering a total managed area of around 184,000 m². The contract covers ABB sites in Untersiggenthal, Baden, Dättwil, Altstetten, Oerlikon, Uster, Zuzwil and Morges, which serve a variety of purposes: manufacturing and production facilities, research, engineering and development centres, and office space used by ABB Switzerland – including ABB’s global headquarters in Zurich Oerlikon. Around 3,500 ABB employees and other users visit the buildings every day.

Broad range of IFM services

The contract covers a broad range of technical, infrastructural and workplace-related services. These include technical building management, cleaning, reception, mail handling, gardening and ticketing.

ISS will bring these services together in an integrated operating model and coordinate them across the sites. In total, the contract covers 23 services and the management of around 5,000 technical installations. Around 50 ISS employees will work on the ABB contract.

“We are delighted that ABB has placed its trust in us. This contract brings together many of our core capabilities and demonstrates the value IFM can create when services, people and processes are considered together. Our aim is to provide ABB with reliable support in its day-to-day operations while continuously improving the working environment for people on site”,

says André Nauer, CEO of ISS Switzerland.
